This case study presents a lipase-mediated stereoselective acetylation of a racemic amine in a rotating bed reactor.
The model reaction was chosen to represent key steps in the biocatalytic manufacturing of pharmaceutical building blocks. As highlighted by our results, enzyme recycling and synthesis scale up were easy to achieve and came with preserved yield, enantioselectivity, and catalytic activity!
